A major overhaul of crofting laws is on the horizon under new legislation introduced at Holyrood.
The Crofting and Scottish Land Court Bill, introduced on June 2, aims to simplify crofting regulation, reduce bureaucracy, and give crofters and rural communities a stronger voice in land management decisions.
The legislation includes plans to strengthen grazing committees—bodies that oversee the use of common land—to ensure that decision-making better reflects the needs of crofters and the wider community.
