Absurd Modernity and the nuclear bomb

as Pat Kane communicated at the Scottish CND AGM, there is a sinister side to technology. A drone can be used for the magnificent artistry of landscape videography. But the same technology is also used to destroy.   

Though many live lives of near-utopian modernity, we are all overshadowed with the threat of nuclear annihilation. 

It’s no surprise that in the face of this incongruous horror, many of us turn to the arts express it. 

To create is the ultimate rebellion against the threat of total destruction. 

The arts have a duty to create cosmic cultures of peace.
