Computer Classes

October classes will be sponsored by Independence Light and Power, Telecommunications.

Our FREE computer classes are one hour in length and include lots of individual attention.  Check our calendar for dates and times.  Call the library (334-2470), stop in, or e-mail Laura if you are interested in registering for a class.

Computer Basics:  
hardware, logging in, opening a program, saving to disk

File Management:
saving and naming your files for easy retrieval

Internet Basics:  
opening, browsing, linking to other pages, and basic searching

Online Reference Tools:
searching our library's catalog, accessing magazine and newspaper articles, and library website resources

Excel Basics:
entering information, formatting, and an introduction to formulas

Web-based E-Mail Basics:  
composing, sending, and receiving e-mails using Yahoo e-mail

Word Basics:  
opening, formatting, and printing in a word processing document
